Who We Are

The Western Tidewater Master Gardeners are trained volunteer educators who serve the community by providing research-based information on sustainable landscape management. In partnership with the Virginia Cooperative Extension (VCE), we offer advice on everything from soil fertility to plant disease management.

Our Region

We officially cover three Virginia Counties: Surry, Southampton, and Isle of Wight, including all cities within. Our primary activity hubs are currently in Smithfield and Carrollton.

Our Purpose

To promote sustainable gardening practices and environmental stewardship through community outreach, workshops, and youth programs.
